I want everyone to be able to use this site, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced motion. Draft for client review before launch.

Standard

The site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. In practice that means:

  • Every page has a logical heading structure and a skip link to the main content.
  • All interactive elements can be reached and operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus state.
  • Text and background colors meet contrast requirements, and text can be resized without loss of content.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative placeholders are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Forms have visible labels and clear error messages, and work without JavaScript.
  • Embedded maps have descriptive titles and the same information is available as text nearby.

Known limitations

Embedded Google Maps are provided by Google and may not be fully accessible. Every location shown on a map is also described in text on the same page.
